H2704/53 5.3.71 NOT SEEN DURING SURVEY, BUT KINGS LYNN HARBOUR MASTER REPORTS THAT IT STILL EXISTS AS CHARTED. DRIES 0.3MTRS. (HMS ENTERPRISE, H525 2/70). NCA. 28.10.04 EUT POSN: 5255.356N, 0027.047E. NE 1200. 10.7.08 NAME GIVEN AS SHERATON. IN 2004 THE WK MEASURED 38.5MTRS LONG, 5.35MTRS WIDE WITH SIZEABLE AMOUNT OF HULL STILL EXISTING. TIMBER FRAME WITH RIVETED METAL. PLATES CAST INTO RIBS BUT ALSO RIVETED TO OTHER PLATES. TIMBER & IRON FROM WK HAVE BEEN FOUND ALONG THE BEACH. LOCAL KNOWLEDGE BELIEVE VESSEL ORIGINALLY CALLED STANDON WHEN BUILT IN 1907. THERE IS EVIDENCE WITHIN THE WK TO SUGGEST THAT SHE WAS POSSIBLY USED FOR TARGET PRACTICE. PHOTO.
