Oorzaak: mined.location – english channelub-109 was a u-boat in the german imperial navy during world war i. she was commissioned on 7 nov 1917. on 29 aug 1918, she hit a mine and sank in the dover barrage, an underwater blockade to stop german submarines attempting to use the english channel during world war i. the barrier consisted of minefields laid between belgium and dover at the outbreak of war. she had a loss of 29 men.
